BRE is a profit for purpose business, and we’re committed to being a responsible business that contributes to a thriving and sustainable world. By joining the BITC movement, we can unite our efforts with other like-minded businesses to manage our impact on the environment, and continuously improve our organisation for our colleagues and communities.”

The BITC membership will also enable BRE to undergo a regular responsible business health check. BITC uses their Responsible Business Map to guide members on a holistic journey of continuous improvement.

BITC define a responsible business as a healthy business, one that puts creating healthy communities (health and well-being, employment and skills, and diversity and inclusion) and a healthy environment (circular economy, climate action, and nature stewardship) at the centre of its strategy to achieve long-term value.

The Responsible Business Map was built on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals which gives a blueprint for what is needed to achieve a world without poverty and hunger, and a healthy planet with peace and prosperity for all.
