About BRE
Founded in 1921, the Building Research Establishment (BRE) has been raising the standards of the built environment for over a century. BRE started as a UK government-funded, research-based organisation, and has become an ambitious profit-for-purpose global business. We re-invest any profit we make back into our business, so that we can deliver on our purpose to develop science-led solutions to built environment challenges.
